Charles E. Maynard (Chuck) is a seasoned banking professional with a proven record of success in retail sales management and operations. He is a strong team leader and problem solver, recognized for his outstanding performance and achievements. Chuck is a respected communicator with a reputation for creating highly productive relationships and maximizing opportunities by fostering a customer-centric and team first environment.
Chuck began his banking career with Wachovia as a manager in the company’s Meriden Financial Center. He was promoted to Senior Manager, and then to Assistant Vice President. Chuck managed diverse teams of sales and service professionals to consistently exceed sales and business development goals.
He ensured high levels of customer service while maintaining operational soundness through inspecting and mentoring. Recognized as problem solver, Chuck was asked to manage a number of underperforming branches. As a result of his hard work and dedication, these branches achieved their highest levels of sales, service, and profitability.
Chuck moved on to New England Bank as the bank’s Retail Banking Sales Manager. His primary responsibility was the pursuit of new retail and business opportunities. Chuck was charged with creating and meeting the strategic annual budget goals for deposit and loan growth for the branch network. He successfully created and led a sales culture through hands-on training and support. As a result, the bank expanded its customer relationship base, developed new business and implemented strategies for the promotion and management of new retail and small business deposit and loan products.
Chuck joined Bankers’ Bank Northeast in 2012. He is committed to a philosophy emphasizing service excellence, the clients’ overall success and identifying opportunities to improve overall efficiency and performance.
Chuck is a resident of Colchester, CT along with his wife and two children. He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and enjoys coaching youth sports for the town’s recreation league as well as volunteering for the Colchester Hayward Volunteer Fire Company.
Richard J. Nurge
Vice President / Relationship Manager
Richard Nurge has over 20 years of sales experience within the mortgage banking and technology industries. His diverse sales career has afforded him the opportunity to bolster a relationship between residential and commercial lenders and their service providers.
For three years, Mr. Nurge was principal of 20/20 Vendor Analytics where his main focus was generating sales for title, settlement and appraisal management providers. In doing so, he managed the entire relationship between the lending community and their service providers.
Throughout his career, Mr. Nurge developed relationships and closed sales with many of the Top 100 residential mortgage lenders. His diverse sales experience has enabled him to nurture lasting client relationships while enhancing revenue productivity. As Vice President / Relationship Manager, he is responsible for developing business solutions to meet the needs of community banks within the New York and Connecticut markets.
Mr. Nurge graduated from Babson College in Wellesley Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
